🐾 ANIMAL PHOTOGRAPHY

FOR REAL CHARACTERS AND UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS

Animal photography isn’t just about a beautiful picture—it’s about personality, expression, and capturing that fleeting moment that speaks volumes. Animals are genuine, spontaneous, and full of life—and it’s precisely these moments that I love to capture with my camera.

Whether you want to immortalize your beloved family member, horse, bird, or exotic pet, I will accompany you and your animal with patience, respect, and a trained eye for personality and light.

What to expect

Authentic Pet Portraits:
Every animal has its own unique personality. Some are curious, others proud or mischievous – and I capture these facets in photos you’ll love looking at again and again.

Natural Environments & Locations:
Whether in nature, by the water, or in your home – I’ll work with you to choose the setting where your pet feels most comfortable and where we can create the most beautiful photos.

Patience & Calmness:
Animals aren’t models – and that’s precisely what makes their photos so special. I take my time, observe, and wait for the perfect moment, instead of forcing rushed poses.

Light & Atmosphere:
I love natural light and use it strategically to capture the texture of fur, the depth of eyes, and the mood of your pet.

Thank you so much, Micha, for the fantastic pictures of my Bailey!

Highly recommended! He approaches animal photography with love and, above all, with enjoyment, which is evident during the shoot and in the photos. Despite Bailey’s youthful energy, he wasn’t fazed and took his time. We’ve unfortunately had different experiences with other photographers. We’d gladly work with him again!

Action!

Movement, excitement, and that one brief moment when everything just clicks. Whether playing, running, or completely absorbed – I capture moments that often pass by too quickly in everyday life. Images that convey energy yet still feel natural.

with the
Family

Animals are family members – and that’s exactly how I treat them photographically. I’m interested in genuine closeness, small gestures, and the interplay between humans and animals. Unposed, honest, and full of connection.

On Location

Many animals feel most comfortable outdoors and in familiar surroundings – and that’s exactly what you see in the pictures. Natural light, movement, and a spacious environment make for lively and authentic shots. Each location contributes its own unique atmosphere to the image.

Reduced, calm, and entirely focused on the animal. In the studio, clear portraits are created with a special attention to expression, eyes, and details. Ideal for capturing an animal’s character and presence timelessly.

The process of a photo shoot

1. Preliminary Consultationand preparation

Before we take photos, we’ll get to know each other first. I want to understand your pet’s personality, what it likes and dislikes. This creates a good feeling from the start and a foundation for relaxed, honest pictures.

2. SessionPlanning

Every animal is different, which is why I plan each shoot individually. We coordinate the time of day, lighting, and surroundings so that your pet can move around as freely and naturally as possible. Stress or time pressure has no place here.

3. Photoshooton the day itself

During the shoot, I observe a lot and intervene as little as possible. I allow space for movement, pauses, and spontaneous moments, instead of dictating a sequence of events. This is precisely how I create images that look authentic and reflect your pet’s character.

4. Editingaccording to your wishes

In selecting and editing images, I prioritize a natural look. Colors, contrasts, and details are carefully adjusted without distorting the animal’s character. The result is timeless photographs that will still resonate with viewers for many years to come.

Does my pet need to know commands?

It depends a bit on what we have planned, of course. For some shots, it would certainly be an advantage, but generally speaking: no, absolutely not. Every animal is welcome – whether perfectly trained or rather headstrong. I adapt to your pet’s behavior and work with what it offers me.

What if my pet is nervous or shy?

That’s perfectly normal and not a problem. Especially quiet or reserved animals need some time – and we give them that time. Often, it’s precisely then that particularly beautiful, honest pictures emerge.

Where will the photoshoot take place?

Wherever your pet feels comfortable. That could be outdoors in nature, in familiar surroundings at your home, or in my studio. Together we’ll find the place that suits you best.

How long does an animal photoshoot take?

It depends entirely on the animal. I usually allow plenty of time to avoid stress and to allow for breaks. Quality doesn’t come from rushing. I recommend one to two hours.

Can I be in the photos too?

Absolutely! Many of my favorite photos capture the bond between humans and animals. Whether together or separately – we’ll decide that flexibly during the shoot. Besides, it often makes sense, since you’re also the animal’s favorite person. 🙂

What should I bring for the shoot?

Anything your pet knows and likes: favorite toys, treats, or a blanket. Familiar things help provide security and often create pleasant moments.

How many pictures will I end up with?

It depends on the package you book. For a one-hour session, you’ll receive 6 edited photos; for a 1.5-hour session, you’ll receive 9 edited photos. You can always order additional photos if you like more.

Are the photos heavily edited?

No. My editing is subtle and natural. Colors, light, and details are optimized without changing your pet’s character.

Do you photograph all animal species?

Yes – from dogs and horses to other pets. What’s most important to me is that we can work respectfully and calmly. If you’re unsure about anything, just ask.

How exactly does an animal photoshoot work?

Completely relaxed. After a brief preliminary chat, we meet at the agreed location and give the animal time to settle in. I observe a lot, intervene little, and photograph spontaneously – without pressure or rigid guidelines.
