What defines a headshot photograph?
A great portrait is more than just a photograph; it captures the essence of your personality, emotions, and character. Whether for yourself, as a gift, or for professional use, it should reflect who you truly are. My portrait sessions focus not on stiff poses but on creating authentic, natural images that resonate with your individuality.
Emotions in focus
Portrait photography is my passion – I’ve always been fascinated by eyes and faces. And the reason is obvious: nothing conveys as much as a face, its mood and emotions.
Portraits also have a wide range of uses. Whether for a CV, an Instagram feed, a picture frame on the windowsill, or a passport – no other area of photography is as ubiquitous. Of course, they are also indispensable for job applications and business photos.
During the shoot, I always ask myself this crucial question: What do we want to achieve, what will the headshots be used for? Because a headshot for a job application requires a different approach than a picture for your friend 😉
For portraits, I recommend half an hour to an hour, depending on the intended use – that should be sufficient in most cases.
The “Ash” and “Magma” packages are recommended for this:

Tips for your photoshoot
best clothing
Wear something that makes you feel comfortable as this is key. Subtle colours and natural tones tend to work best as they won’t distract from your face. Avoid overly bold patterns or large logos, as these can quickly become distracting. For your business photo, it is advisable to choose something that is typical for your industry.
Facial expressions and posture
Don’t worry, you don’t need any modeling experience! I’ll give you tips during the shoot on how to look relaxed and highlight your best features. The most important thing is: just be yourself! The best pictures are taken when you relax and don’t overthink every move.
Make-Up & Styling
If you wear makeup, keep it subtle. A natural look almost always works best, but a little powder can help prevent shine. Your hair should also be loose and natural – the most important thing is that you feel comfortable!
Preparations on the day of the shooting
Give yourself some rest beforehand, drink plenty of water, and avoid wearing tight clothing that leaves marks on your skin right before the shoot. And most importantly: come relaxed and in a good mood – that’s when the best pictures are taken!
